OUR STORY
ROOTED is a boutique salon and energy wellness studio offering private and semi-private appointments in a welcoming luxury studio space.
Combining his life-long passions of hairdressing and energy work together, our founder Terry created the ROOTED salon so his guests could enjoy the benefits of both types of services. We believe that beauty services and the health of one’s personal energy complement one another and have a balancing effect on both inner and outer beauty.
We offer DAVINES hair care and wellness products that are sustainable for the environment
and our salon prioritizes recycling, composting and waste minimization.
Meet The Team
TERRY
With over 30 years of industry experience, my passion to help others embrace their inner beauty transcends not only from behind the chair with my clients, but also by providing hair and energy work education to stylists and salons across the country. I am a stylist, educator, Reiki Master, as well as, being certified in Energy Medicine .
Being the founder and owner of Rooted Salon and Energy Wellness, I like to insure that your outer beauty is aligned with
how you feel on the inside.
This is done by providing services that
not only reflect who you are,
but more importantly
how you want to feel on the inside.
In my free time, I have an incredible respect for nature and am constantly working to do my part to protect our environment. When I am not working,
you can usually find me spending quality time in our gardens, on or in the water,
or with my family (two dogs, bird,
and oh...husband too!).
RACHEL
Rachel started her beauty career in 1993. She enjoys expanding her horizons, learning new techniques and
continuing her education.
She is extremely kind with an uplifting and compassionate personality
that will help you feel comfortable
and heard during your visit.
She loves the opportunity to do
a total transformation. Whether it is
a color, foil, a new style or no change at all, she's got you covered.
When she is not doing hair,
this cat lover is in the kitchen cooking up tasty treats for friends and family,
tending to her house plants
or spending time outdoors.

Rooted is committed to practicing beauty and healing services sustainably. We are an accredited Sustainable Salon, and carry solely Davines Haircare, which is a B Corporation (benefit corporation) whose mission is to use business as a force for good.
We at Rooted hold nature and our environment close to our hearts in all that we do and in every service we provide. We believe it is our responsibility to make a conscious and positive impact on this earth that we all call home.

Located in south Minneapolis, just blocks from Lake Harriet in the new Center for Performing Arts Building, the ROOTED studio makes for the perfect environment for guests to kick back, relax, and enjoy hair and energy healing services.
POLICIES
SAFETY IS THE NEW LUXURY AND WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE.
We provide a private space for you five days a week (check hours for days and times), which means you do not share the space with other guests at that time. During any shared time in the salon there will only be two of us working and a six feet distance will be provided during your service.
The building does have an elevator.
Our building HVAC system is maintained by agreement with a local certified HVAC company under contract for proper operation.In addtion to that we have our own high powered exhaust fan used just for our space. Feel free to look at the MN Board of Cosmetology recommendations as we follow their guidelines.
